Fatal Shooting Investigation


On April 7th, 2018 at approximately 4:00 am, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of N Burdick regarding the report of a shooting.


Responding Officers arrived and located a victim who appeared to have been struck by gunfire. The subject was transported to Bronson Hospital however lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.  The victim has been identified as Terrance Jaleel Swinney, a twenty-six (26) year-old Kalamazoo resident.
